CHECKING IN
Are you wanting to feel more like yourself?
When you are living with a busy mind, navigating a new diagnosis, trying to understand your neurodivergence, or stuck in the thought loops of OCD, it can be really hard to feel connected to yourself. Trying to fit into a mold that wasn’t made for you while facing the stress of daily life is overwhelming. It makes sense if you just don’t feel connected to yourself right now.
I provide a neuroaffirming and queer & trans affirming approach that celebrates and uplifts who you are. We will explore your unique neurotype and needs, find new ways to relate to yourself, and help you feel more connected to who you are. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you or helping you fit into rigid norms, it’s about helping you feel more like you and have a better relationship with yourself.
Personalized support for your unique journey
-
Whether you are exploring a possible diagnosis, self-identified, or formally diagnosed, we can work together to identify your needs, find supports and strategies that work for you, and process the challenges of living in a world with neurotypical expectations. I provide a neuroaffirming space where you can show up as yourself and focus on understanding your unique needs based on your neurotype.
-
I-CBT (Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is an evidence-based therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) that helps you to better understand how your OCD doubts are created and maintained, work on re-establishing trust in yourself, and learn strategies to break out of the cycle of obsessional doubting.
-
Having a mind that is always busy and on high alert can make it difficult to get through the day. Therapy can help you learn ways to relate differently to anxiety and make decisions that are guided by your values rather than based in anxiety.
-
Many neurodivergent people also live with chronic conditions that come with fluctuating symptoms and energy levels. I work with clients to navigate their fluctuating needs, develop strategies for seeking support, and process the impacts of ableism. I have experience working with clients with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), autoimmune disorders, migraines, and clients who are still seeking diagnoses to explain their symptoms.

ABOUT ME
Hello, I’m Jillian
(she/they)
As a neurodivergent therapist, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges and joys of the experience of having a mind that works differently. I’m passionate about providing neuroaffirming and identity-affirming therapy, where you don’t feel like you have to explain yourself or your identities. My style is collaborative, authentic, and goes at your pace. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in reproductive justice, which heavily shaped my commitment to justice-based, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental support.

Typically we will start with meeting weekly, and then adjust the frequency of sessions as needed. If you need to meet at a different pace, we can discuss what will work best for you.

I do not work directly with insurance companies in order to be able to provide personalized, private care. Many insurance plans have out-of-network benefits which means you can get reimbursed for a portion of the session fee. I regularly provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about out-of-network benefits.
